Railway line between Weymouth and Wareham reopens
Passengers are able to travel by train between Weymouth and Wareham this morning following over-running track renewal work caused by the failure of an engineering train.
A Network Rail spokesperson said:
“The railway line between Weymouth and Wareham has reopened this morning, allowing trains to run as normal from the start of service following over-running track renewal works.
“We would like to thank passengers for their patience and once again sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
“Additionally, passengers are reminded to check before travelling this weekend as replacement bus services will be in place between Weymouth and Wareham throughout the weekend to allow us to undertake planned engineering work on the line as part of our Railway Upgrade Plan.” Railway line between Weymouth and Wareham reopens
