Public information event to discuss fencing and vegetation management work in Den Lane, Uppermill

Network Rail is inviting residents to find out more about fencing and vegetation work in Den Lane, Uppermill, Oldham.

For safety reasons Network Rail engineers have replaced broken fencing in Den Lane, Uppermill, after a train driver and railway workers spotted young people trespassing trackside.

Local people and residents will be able to discuss the work with the Network Rail project team at an event on:

Tuesday 19 June, between 3pm and 6.30pm, at Uppermill Civic Hall, Lee Street, Oldham, OL3 6AE

A spokesperson for Network Rail said: “Safety is our number one priority. This work is crucial to prevent people accessing the track, risking life, limb and a hefty fine. Public information event to discuss fencing and vegetation management work in Den Lane, Uppermill
