London tube passengers suffer in unbearable heat as severe delays hit Central Line | Daily Mail Online
Londoners suffered through unbearably hot tube carriages on their way home today as temperatures above ground soared to 91F (33C) wreaking havoc across the UK.
Trains across the capital have been insufferably hot, with tourists and workers facing temperatures of up to 30.5C on the central line, according to data released by TfL last month.
A signal failure at White City in west London brought chaos to the Central Line, with one station announcer saying he wasn’t sure if the train would be waiting at the station for ‘five minutes, five hours, or five years’.
Telling passengers to alight and take alternative transport, he added: ‘I don’t know what’s happened to this line this week, it has been horrendous.’ London tube passengers suffer in unbearable heat as severe delays hit Central Line | Daily Mail Online
