New look train station is as good as new after refurb | Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter

A Dumbarton train station has undergone a huge transformation after refurbishments and repairs were carried out by a local resurfacing company.

Dumbarton East station was given a complete upgrade by the resurfacing team from CPR, based in Renton, who were initially contracted by Network Rail to surface platform 1 and 2 of the station which was in desperate need of repair.

However, the contract was then extended to include a gauging survey, over-bridge preparation and steel fabrication repairs, brick works to platform 1 and 2 walls and over-seal and platform bridge deck wall repairs.

Thanks to the works carried out by CPR, who are also subcontractors for all seven platforms of the Queen Street revamp in Glasgow, the station now looks like a completely different place and the cracked and crumbling platforms look good as new.
