Ex-Carillion boss to take over £2.5bn Balfour Beatty Vinci HS2 contracts
The former boss of Carillion’s UK infrastructure business is set to take over Balfour Beatty Vinci to lead its HS2 joint venture.
Mark Davies will replace Mark Cutler—who taking up a job elsewhere after being at the helm of the JV since January 2017— as managing director of the consortium.
The long-established JV between the two infrastructure giants has already been handed major HS2 contracts worth a combined £2.5bn, including northern-area Lots N1 and N2 between the Long Itchington Wood Green tunnel to Delta Junction/Birmingham Spur and from the Delta Junction to the West Coast Main Line tie-in.
The team is also bidding for more deals, including further railway systems packages and the major Old Oak Common station contract. If successful, when put together these deals are valued at a whopping £3.8bn. Ex-Carillion boss to take over £2.5bn Balfour Beatty Vinci HS2 contracts
